What are charges for late or overdue books?

Answer

Items returned late will generate a fine. Fines accrue at R1.00 per day per item ("Open shelf" material), while Short Loan material fines are R5.00 per hour or part thereof. For both short loan and open shelf books, once fines accumulate to R10.00, borrowing privileges will be suspended until such time as the fine has been paid.
