What are the charges for a late/overdue book?

Answer

Items returned late will generate a fine. Fines accrue at R1.00 per day per item ("Open shelf" material), while Short Loan material fines are R5.00 per hour or part thereof. 
For both short loan and open shelf books, once fines accumulate to R20.00, borrowing privileges will be suspended until such time as the fine has been paid.
